Question 1

Is this really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — public inboxes are free forever. There is no ad-supported tier or hidden usage fee. Only permanent private usernames cost $5, and only if you want one.

Question 2

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

Only if you want to claim a private permanent username. Free public inboxes require nothing.

Question 3

What domains do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We currently host addresses on multiple academic country-code TLDs (e.g. .edu.pl). The domain list is shown on the home page and updates as we add new ones.

Question 4

Will Spotify / Notion / GitHub accept these?

Accepted Answer

Many discount programs accept academic TLDs; some perform stricter checks. We can't guarantee acceptance and it changes over time. Free Edu Email Generator is provided for testing and educational use, not to defraud discount programs.

Question 5

Can I send email from an Free Edu Email Generator address?

Accepted Answer

No. Free Edu Email Generator is receive-only. Sending would require a per-user SMTP relay that would raise costs sharply and be quickly abused.

Question 6

How is a public inbox different from a claimed one?

Accepted Answer

A public inbox is readable by anyone who guesses the same username. A claimed inbox is bound to your user account — nobody else can read it, and the address is reserved for a year.

Question 7

How long are messages stored?

Accepted Answer

Public inbox messages: 7 days. Claimed inbox messages: at least 1 year.

Question 8

Do you support attachments?

Accepted Answer

Attachment metadata (filename, MIME type, size) is shown on both tiers. Downloading attachment contents is a paid feature.

Question 9

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

USDT (TRC-20), USDT (BEP-20), and Bitcoin. No credit cards.

Question 10

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

See our refund policy — crypto payments are final after network confirmation.

Question 11

How do you handle spam and abuse?

Accepted Answer

We maintain reserved system usernames, per-sender and per-domain blocklists, and IP-based abuse blocks. Report abuse to abuse@ on any of our domains.

Question 12

Is this legal?

Accepted Answer

Running an email service on domains you own is legal. Using the addresses to defraud discount programs, impersonate an accredited institution, or violate a service's Terms is not — and we prohibit it under our Acceptable use policy.
